Receiving the Word
Begin by reading the passage slowly, aloud if possible. Read it as if for the first time. Let the words fall gently into your heart. You are not reading for information — you are listening for the voice of God. Read the passage twice, pausing between each reading.
Reflection
What word or phrase caught your attention? Don't analyze it yet — simply notice what drew you.
